The Rajagiri Institutions are managed by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation, the first indigenous religious congregation for men in India. Canonically established in the year 1855, the CMI order has played a key role in revolutionizing the education scenario in Kerala since the late nineteenth century. They render their service to humanity in educational, social, healthcare and other field aiming the integral development of society. In the foot prints of their founding father, Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a great visionary, educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century, the CMIs have been zealously working towards providing value based education to society, at large. Over the years, the CMIs have created a legacy of excellence among Indian educational institutions.
The CMIs, spread throughout India and abroad, manage nearly 500 educational institutions in India and offer academic programmes that range from pre-primary to post-doctoral levels. They strive towards establishing new systems of high quality in the field of education, an effort that has been widely recognized and acknowledged. The Sacred Heart Province at Kochi is one among the thirteen provinces in India managed by the CMIs and has a number of institutions to its credit under the banner RajagiriVidyapeedham. Rajagiri College of Social Sciences(Autonomous) holds a five and a half decades of legacy in its relentless journey towards excellence. Listed as a College with Potential for Excellence in Education, RCSS has been accredited A++ by UGC’s NAAC based on its all-India high score of 3.83/4 (Fourth Cycle) in 2021. NIRF, since its inception from 2017 has ranked RCSS in the top 50 colleges and in the latest NIRF, the college is positioned at 31st in India. The College has won the second spot in the Swachh Campus Ranking 2019 conducted by MHRD for the Swachh Bharat Mission, GoI. RCSS is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala and offers programmes in Social Work, Computer Science, Psychology, Library & Information Sciences, Commerce, Statistics , Management & Personnel Management. The college has been a recipient of the coveted UKIERI (UK-India Education and Research Initiative) research projects. RCSS has very strong partnerships with more than 60 prestigious international universities and institutions. The College has been selected for the USD 150,000 Indo-Pacific Academic Competition Grant by the US Consulate, Chennai.

Learning and keeping pace with change has now become inevitable for employees to remain up to date and relevant, and to develop knowledge and skills.
Intending to offer a continuous career development program, our institution has started a Centre for Professional Studies (RCPS) as a training division for globally recognized qualifications mainly in the field of finance and management. These professional qualifications give ample opportunity, recognition, and career progression as it imbibes in-depth knowledge relevant to the ever changing environment of the global economy. Through our pedagogical innovation, the Rajagiri Immersive Learning Experience (RILE), we ensure that students are exposed to experiences and activities that prepare them to confront the complex business environment head on. The focus of RILE is on four dimensions; Conceptual Learning, Experiential Engagement, Executive Modeling, and Corporate Competency.
